Who this notice covers
This notice covers the ProofCohort learning platform at proofcohort.in, including learner and mentor accounts, public pages, and support communications. Contact proofcohort@gmail.com about your information or a privacy concern.
Information you provide
Account information includes your name, email address, authentication details, and profile information. Applications and onboarding can include your phone number, gender selection (including ‘prefer not to say’), country, college, qualification, academic year, referral source, program choice, and intended start date. Where a form requests a résumé or profile link, we receive the link and information you make available through it.
Learning records include enrollments, task submissions, repository and demo links, daily progress, assessment answers and scores, reviewer feedback, attendance or session records where recorded, and issued credentials. Mentor profiles can include professional experience, company, role, specialties, biography, and professional or scheduling links.
The free Resume Checker extracts document text without saving the file or check to your account. If you request an expert rewrite, we save the resume text, target role, optional job description, payment status, reviewer messages, and delivered PDF. Authorized administrators review these records to deliver the service. Resume checks do not send your content to an AI provider.
Support emails contain whatever you choose to send. Share only what is needed to resolve your request. Do not send passwords, payment PINs, OTPs, or identity documents unless a specific, justified verification process is explained to you.
How information is used
We use this information to authenticate accounts, review applications, deliver learning and mentoring, assess work, issue and verify credentials, reconcile payments, answer support requests, prevent misuse, and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Authorized administrators and assigned mentors can access the information needed for their responsibilities, including relevant learner contact and progress information.
Service emails include verification and password-reset messages and relevant account or program communications. Optional website analytics has a separate choice; refusing it does not prevent use of the learning service.
Service providers and payments
The website is hosted on Vercel. Supabase supports authentication and application records. Gmail supports service and support email. These providers process relevant information to deliver their services. Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, request times, device or browser information, and diagnostic logs.
Razorpay processes checkout payments. We pass the order, amount, and account name and email needed for checkout, and retain transaction references, amounts, payment status, and purchased entitlements. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider; our application does not store full card details, CVVs, UPI PINs, or banking passwords.
If you follow a mentor's Calendly or Google Meet link, a repository link, or a social-profile link, that service's own privacy practices also apply. External links do not give us control over those services.
AI chat and assisted reviews
Cohort AI sends the conversation supplied with your request to OpenRouter and the model provider selected through its routing. If those attempts fail before an answer starts, an enabled backup may send the same conversation directly to Groq. The current chat interface holds the conversation in the open page; the application records message-credit usage and request status for billing. Do not treat chat as a permanent archive.
An authorized reviewer can also request an AI suggestion using task information, your submission, and selected source code. The reviewer confirms that sharing in the review interface. AI suggestions support human review; they do not themselves award a final assessment result.
Provider retention and model-training practices can vary by model, routing, and account settings. We do not promise that all AI processing has zero retention or excludes training. Avoid entering confidential work, secrets, sensitive personal information, or another person's data. Contact support before submitting material that cannot be shared with these providers.
Public credential verification
Anyone with a valid credential ID or verification link can view the recipient name, program or skill title, score or result, assessed skills, issue date, credential ID, and applicable test-mode or issuance-exception labels. This is part of making issued credentials verifiable; the verification page does not require an account.
Verification pages are marked for search engines not to index, but that does not make a shared link private or prevent a recipient from saving or sharing it. Consider this before obtaining or sharing a credential. Contact support about inaccurate information or a request concerning a public record.
Cookies and optional analytics
Authentication uses essential browser storage or cookies to maintain your session. The website also stores your analytics choice locally. Blocking essential storage can stop sign-in from working.
If Google Analytics is enabled, its script loads only after you choose Allow. Our analytics integration measures visits to public pages and clicks that begin an application; it excludes private learning, admin, mentor, login, and credential-verification routes from those events. It sends page paths without query strings and referring origins without their private paths. Google may receive browser, device, and connection information as part of providing analytics.
Use the analytics controls at the bottom of a public page to change your choice. Turning analytics off stops future measurement through this integration; it does not erase information already received by Google. You can also remove stored cookies through your browser. Advertising signals and personalization are disabled in this integration.
Retention, security, and processing locations
Records are needed while an account or program is active and, where justified, for credential verification, payment reconciliation, dispute handling, security, or legal obligations. Different records can therefore have different retention periods. This version does not promise an automatic deletion deadline or a fixed backup-erasure schedule.
Access controls restrict account and learning records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information outside India according to their infrastructure and contractual arrangements; this is not a promise that every record stays in India.
Your choices and requests
You can update supported profile fields in your account and email proofcohort@gmail.com to request access, correction, account closure, deletion, or to raise a privacy complaint. Describe the request and send it from your account email where possible. We may verify ownership before disclosing or changing records.
There is currently no self-service account-deletion button. A request may require manual review, and some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, transaction disputes, or credential integrity. We will explain any applicable limits and the effect on access. This notice does not restrict rights available under applicable law.
Changes to this notice
Updates will be published here with a revised date. Material changes to the purposes of processing or your choices will be explained through an appropriate notice, and consent will be requested where required. A policy update is not permission to use your data for an unrelated purpose without an applicable basis.
