Can I apply in my first or second year?

Yes. ProofCohort accepts applications from students, including first- and second-year students. Admission is reviewed, and eligibility depends on the selected program's prerequisites rather than a promise that every track suits a complete beginner. You do not need to wait until final year to start building project evidence. Read the weekly syllabus before applying so you can judge whether you are ready for the work.

A practical choice for your first year

Pick one area you have started learning in class or through practice. If you can write a basic HTML page but have not used JavaScript, compare that with the frontend program's prerequisites before enrolling. If you are learning Python, first practise running a small script, explaining its output and fixing a simple error. Being in first year is not a reason to collect many certificates at once; a completed project you understand gives you something concrete to discuss.

  • Choose a track from the published catalog and read its prerequisites.
  • Try a small independent exercise using the required tools to identify gaps.
  • Compare the weekly roadmap with your classes and exam dates.
  • Apply when the scope is manageable; ask support about unclear requirements before submitting.

A practical choice for your second year

Use your existing coursework to choose a more substantial project. A Python learner could practise validating input and handling errors before starting a development track. A student considering data science should be able to explain what each column means, why a calculation is appropriate and where an analysis can mislead. Your goal is to show decisions and checks, not just screenshots of a finished output. The assigned program tasks determine what you must submit for assessment.

What should I check if college needs an internship certificate?

Ask your coordinator for the actual requirement before choosing a provider. Some requirements concern practical training; others require a named employer, supervision, a specified duration or an approved organization. Share the specific program description with your college and obtain approval. A ProofCohort learning program alone is not an employment relationship, and we do not promise universal college acceptance. An authorized partner arrangement must be confirmed separately where relevant.

  • Required experience type and approved issuer
  • Minimum duration and any attendance or supervision requirements
  • Required report, evaluation and certificate format
  • Whether approval must be obtained before the program starts

How much should I budget?

ProofCohort program participation is free. The optional program certificate bundle is ₹499 after every weekly task receives a reviewed or approved result of at least 65%. A skill certificate is a separate ₹199 purchase after a passing skill assessment. Mentoring is optional at ₹499 for an eligible enrollment. Do not buy expecting payment to replace assessment or guarantee a job. The current fees page and checkout explain the applicable offer.

What can I put on my résumé after completion?

Write a short entry that explains your contribution, the deliverable, a technical or design decision and how you checked the result. Use the actual program name and issued credential. For example: ‘Projects — [program name]. Built [deliverable], tested [specific behavior], and documented [limitation]. Evidence: [project link]. Credential: [issued verification link].’ Fill the placeholders with your own completed work. An unlaunched project is not a measured business result, and a practice program is not an employer.

Read each program's prerequisites, duration and weekly syllabus before applying. Enrolled learners follow their assigned tasks; independent practice alone does not earn a certificate.
